Their estimated income of £55k a year would rely on getting £575 per calendar month for each bedroom.

A normal room rate in the area is £350-500 a month.

If you have £500 a month to spend you could rent something like this http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-to-rent/property-38120142.html

This just demonstrates the complete moral bankruptcy of the planning system in the UK. Wanna create a mini-slum fit for the third-world? No problem, we'll fully sign off on anything. Wanna create a family home on an underused 1/2 acre plot with a decrepit bungalow? No effing way.

In any normal, civilized country, they have limits on the number of residents per size of house and lot. If the house is too small for the number of planned residents, then the house has to be made bigger.

Third World slum? But, of course! After forty years of privatisation, globalisation and deregulation why would you expect anything else? We export our jobs to the Third World and import their living standards. All part of the demented neo-lib plan.

That 8 bed conversion was only done recently. If you look at street view, the house picture was taken in 2014. Before the left hand side of the house was a garage. The number of bins does not equate to the number of inhabitants.

I suspect it was a builder who just goes round buying large houses, sub divides them, and resells straight away. He/she doesn't get involved with being a landlord. With the profits from this sale, they move on, rinse and repeat.

Anyone got access to three quarters of a million they can borrow........

Sorry, but who do they think will be willing to pay the interest, the costs, the inconvenience, the taxes and profits on their debt......only fools and wild horses.......a motor home with a view parked up by the roadside, surely a better journey as well as better value for money.......

If it's such a fantastic income-generator, you do have to wonder why the vendor isn't hanging on to it.

Possibly because that would involve having to deal with the day to day gripes and complaints from the proles they would be renting to. Oh no. Much better to be a 'proper' businessman and stick purely to selling property.

That floorplan is depressing.
