Game More Difficult To Install/start Than Beat (0Xc000007B)

Recommended Posts

I have literally done everything I can find on the internet to install Pathlogic HD on my laptop. It installed first time on a PC with no issues (apart from sound).

The error I'm getting is 0xc000007b after the game installs.

Why is this so difficult ? I've given up.

I'm assuming that is has something to do with the fact that the laptop has an old recovery partition which I recently installed followed by endless updates. The PC on the other hand has a new install of W7 64. The laptop is also W7 64

I just can't believe that so many people have this issue with so many games.

Have you tried starting the app with dependency walker and starting it with that to see what you might be missing? (might be a bit technical :) )

https://steamcommunity.com/app/235210/discussions/0/558748822188597554/

Also according to a post here https://steamcommunity.com/app/235210/discussions/0/558748822188597554/#p2

You might need to install Microsoft Visual C++ (different game in the threads above but same error)

There are more solutions here http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/faq/id-1931360/0xc00007b-error-fix.html

You've probably seen these solutions, but it was worth a try..... :)

Edit - Solution 10 in the last link looks promising, be careful though!

I would follow Ted's advice, look at the Tom's hardware link. Some games do no come with all the software to run the game.

It is likely to be a .NET framework or C++ redistributable issue.

Thanks - I've not seen this so will give it a try. Thanks again,

Basically, if the program installer does not work out the dependencies, and install them for you, it is a dud!

It works fine on clean w7 2015 install. I've tried the Dependency Walker and it doesn't load into the program correctly and therefore doesn't specify where the conflict between x86 and x64 is.

I'm interested in this as we are getting this problem at work. Converted over to a later version of our software compiler and we get this whenever we try to run our product. A week of headscratching and swearing have proved fruitless.....

I hate software!

Indeed - I can also confirm that hackers are pushing out so called fixes for this problem which no doubt many people are installing in desperation.
