Looks like a "stottie" to me, but then I did once venture oop North. Beyond the county of pooves, and mincers, the "South Riding"

Living in Yorkshire and Manchester has scarred me for life. Barmcakes, scones, binlids, breadcakes, teacakes, cobs...FFS it's a bread roll :)

And I have me dinner at 8pm.

P

Is it your "last supper" Jesus?

The olives are nice!

Is that for real or a joke? A pie in a bap? How would you eat it?

Well, you never know with Northerners.

Well, searching for "Wigan Kebab" does indeed return a fair few pictures of, well, what I would term "a pie sandwich". So maybe it is real after all.

Maybe I should "expedition to the North" to my bucket list and hope to sample their exotic cuisine. I'll need a local guide - presumably I can hire one at St Albans.

And when it comes to scones, it's scon (pron).

I get the feeling that that filling hadn't come near a single potato, pea or asparagus spear until the photo was taken.

I think it may be what used to be called a "Serving Suggestion." The asparagus is there to hint subtly of being up-market.
