You have a greyhound? Yorkshire is your true home! I'm sure she won't explode! If you look calm about it all, she will!

MrPin
Not so much around here but it is pissing down. That's a great name for my next novel! Sort of stuck between Felching Barton, and Titwobbling-on-sea! The "Pissing Down" chronicles it is then!

council dweller
Yes, my cat is also not bothered by the noise ......she`s culled up and sleeping. I found her in a busy supermarket car park, that may have something to do with it. I could send you all a photo but there`s no point. (she`s black)

You dog owners need to tell your pets to pull themselves together . Ordinarily yes. But this dog suffered an accident in the traps that has left her scarred. She has a good right be scared of big bangs, never mind WW1.

Battenberg
I have two. Only one is scared of fireworks and is almost under the sofa which has only 4" clearance b Have you tried a dap collar? If not, put one on the dog a fortnight before bonfire night and see if that helps?
DTMark
Our cats didn't seem too bothered. I watched the village fireworks display. The village hall and field where this took place is actually only about 400m from the house, but I could see it perfectly well from my front door, so didn't feel the need to traipse down the lane in pitch darkness in search of social intercourse. happy_renting
Have you tried a dap collar? If not, put one on the dog a fortnight before bonfire night and see if that helps? What is a dap collar? Is it one of those aversion therapy electric shock things? Give the cat an electric shock every time it is frightened, until it learns not to be frightened.
