Trees Can Change Sex Too

Recommended Posts

I wonder if some one has grafted on a branch from another tree.

That would be female to male - As this one was male to female it is more likely it had a strategic branch lopped off.

Most plants are both sexes at once.

Holly comes in male and female! So if you don't want children to eat the berries, you can get a male one.

But I'm not sure I approve of children geting up to that!

Dioecious plants are sep like holly.

Monoescious are things like hazel.

It's things plants do to stop self-ferilisation.

Along with protandry, protogyny and self-incompatability (apples need another variety), and heterotstyly.

I had an O level in boilagy, so I could cook ducks different from penguins!

I never went on the Antarctical Survey in the end, after I found out there was no bar!

I too have an o level in biology but self-taught so I only did the bits I needed to pass the exam.

I wouldn't go either if there wasn't a bar. :)

Biology? Yeah, I got one of those.

Didn't try Stanley's boils. Don't think my school offered it.
