Corbyn - Year Zero

Recommended Posts

Conformity is the nature of political parties. They think as one (or maybe not at all). Stand out and you are not popular.

I'm not popular anyway, and I stand out, so I don't join anything.

Get rid of the Blairites bastardos.

Yep, get rid of all the moderates and try to pick up votes from the socialist workers and anti-capitalist agitators, forget any idea of ever forming a government again and with luck go the way of the liberal party.

Works for me.

Guido - still hardly a a bastion of impartiality. But I take your point -Labour is in a bit of a pickle. They'd be better off splitting. Get rid of the Blairites bastardos.

The trouble is all that leaves you with is the 1970s-90s weirdo procratinators.

What people don't seem to appreciate is Corbyn is not 'old' labour...he's not so much interested in the lot of the common man, but rather from that awkward period from the mid 70s to bliar that was defined by the 'loonies' and endless theoretical procrastinating, when labour was saturated with academic crazies. To get old labour back you need to return to the 50s or 60s, not the 70s or 80s, of which Corbyn is a product of.

http://www.oldham-chronicle.co.uk/news-features/8/news-headlines/94614/labour-parties-still-in-special-measures

In July 2013 one website claimed that in 1999, Labour’s regional office received complaints of irregularities in council candidate selection in Oldham. It is possible both of Oldham’s constituencies have been under special measures since then, but this hasn’t been confirmed. The review into the 2001 Oldham riots also referred to “local selection irregularities”.

Correct. I think it plays very well for the BBC and the Tories to keep labelling him "Old Labour', thereby undermining the risk that the population realise how far Labour have come from the true Welsh and industrial area giants of the 20's-50's. Suits the lefties, as it means no one can point out how they are actual betrayers of the Labour founders, and suits the righties, as it means that 'left = nutter' becomes ingrained in the minds of the sheeple.
