London flatshares offer 'Harry Potter' style rooms under-the-stairs for up to £900 a month Fancy living the 'Privet Drive' experience? At least two flats in London offer cramped under-stairs spaces at extortionate prices

One of them is in Islington I know a pro single parent who lives near there for free, if she were moved somewhere else these tenants could have her council flat.

They'll be renting out every other stair for people to sleep on, if this madness continues

Certainly possible, a real disincentive to work when you can just be a single parent and get so much better. Sadly few people want this to change

not really looking for somebody that just wants to stay in their room.

But LL would like 500 quid from you for something you don't use.

Talk about 40 living in a three bedroom place, more living in less with less.....where is this all going? Is it a sign of a growing prosperous society, surely not....those with less seeing to it that those with far more are gaining ever more......not a nice place to be seeing growing inequality.

Hopefully it is going to a) more housing B) reform of the benefit system to reduce demand in places like London. However lots of people don't want either of these.
