All About Property

Recommended Posts

Gabby Logan presents the UK's first radio programme totally dedicated to property. She's joined by property expert Lewis Rossiter to talk about buying, selling, renting or finding the perfect holiday home.

I'm not sure what's going on down in the BBC commissioning hut. Budget cuts? I'll give it a listen. I don't expect much from Lewis Rossiter.

Shoeshine moment?

Probably. My home area has been cursed by holiday and second homes over the last 15 years.

There's alwats been some but 2000+ saw a massive surge.

Holiday hojmes/second homes are the original 'investment' property.

Shame that the 'investors' are all trying to exit.

I could never recommend buying a holiday home in the UK.

Its financial madness.

I could never justify spending a six figure sum on a holiday home. It would only be used for a few weeks a year.

Much better surely to 'rent' a top notch hotel room for however long and go out for meals and drinks that are made for you - now that's luxury! B)

God, a few years we went on our one and only 'all my family' holiday. And lst, not doing that again.

Sat round, having a drink. Idiot brother goes 'We should club together and but a place'

I asked 'Why'?

No real answer, other than this stupid reflex UK action of buying houses.

* If we has 'bought', ignoring any ongoing finance and maintenance costs, which would be substantial, we'd have been down about E100K - about E20K each. Oh, and having to go there, year in, year out.
