Bomb Victim About To Lose Rest Of His 1.1 Million Settlement In Divorce

Recommended Posts

Slight house price angle here too, £300,000 bungalow bought that proved structurally unsound and had to be demolished and subsequent rebuild took most of the cash. Houses a one way bet, yeah right.........

Guess insurance might not cover a rebuild if the house was bought in an unsound state.

Surely if the company takes it on risk without visiting the property, they're liable to pay out? I'm sure there was a case about that some years ago.

you cant insure for things that had already happened and should have been aware of.

Probably bought the house for cash so didn't bother with insurance. Amazing how many people only insure their houses because their mortgage lender insists on it.

Other articles say that she ignored advice from the army and others to buy it. Is claiming £85000 in legal fees too, I would say how do they sleep at night, but then they are lawyers... He is being represented by another lawyer for zero fees. If a lawyer thinks it is worth fighting for no fee it must be bad...

Poor bloke.

Surely this money should have been ring fenced. Even a £50k lottery win has torn families apart, its pretty obvious that the money should not have just been handed in one lumpsum to a bloke recovering from horrific injuries and his scheming wife.

The wife's property stupidity probably wasn't helped by all and sundry saying "you can't lose with property".
