Torbay council spent more last year on beach huts than on affordable homes. Beach huts: £2.35 million. Affordable homes: £470,000. Apparently, there's a waiting list for council owned beach huts. :blink:

The beach hut redevelopment at Meadfoot beach looks great. A huge improvement. I hope they did a lot more for £2.35m though.

To be fair at 2500 rent a year they're a bloody good investment if they can build a couple of hundred of them for the money.

It's not fair that that other forum is up there and we're stuck down here. We should mount some sort of coup.
