Amir Khan - Bricks And Mortar.

Recommended Posts

I've only skim read it but where does it say he's on a BTL mortgage? I would imagine if he is spending £60k on a watch he isn't going to ponce about with getting mortgages on rentals in Bolton.

No issue with landlords that own outright as long as they or their agent does things legally.

He has the money and deserves to spend it as he sees fit.

Buying property isn't the problem, leveraging on it is. If it drops 90% in value he still has those properties.

Would you rather he bought a few mansions and left them empty?

As I say, only skim read it so apologies if he is actually mortgaged on them!

it's one way of him avoiding getting fleeced by an unscrupulous wealth adviser - if he loses 50% of the value or more he still has a fair bit left.

it just shows something doesn't it

all that ambition, all that focus, all that training, all that aspiration, all that pain, all that success

the ability to take gold medals, to be the best in the world at something pretty tough and competitive

...

to get a BTL portfolio in Bolton.

F me, surely there is something more exciting and rewarding to get involved in than that

I can't see the word 'mortgage' anywhere in the article.
