Rightmove Share Price

Recommended Posts

The rightmove share price seems to be going ever higher, certainly in the last five years.

Why when translations are falling and a lack of supply? Presumably it only gets paid per listing?

Also why is it worth so much? All it does is just list property. Nothing unique and if google or Amazon got into the same game it could very quickly become a MySpace / bebo.

You're forgetting rentals too, massive turnover, lots of adverts. There's advertising revenue too. Don't know if they make money selling data/analytics too?

Agree other companies could do the same but it and Zoopla are such established brands they are just what people use, cf. OnTheMarket.

House prices have been booming dont you know.

You need to buy a house before you miss out.

Quick.

Last vfew remaning.

Prices only go up.

It really is different this time.

Don't miss the boat.

What do you mean, you rent, what a loser.

Get in my son.

Look how much untaxed unearned money your parents have made.

JUST DO IT.

Dont worry about the repayments inflation will take care of that....

Rightmove and Zoppla are established, but so was multimap!!

None of the really big US tech companies has tried to "revolutionise" the housing market yet, either directly or by investing in an Uber like startup.

Could be a game changer when it happens, so far I think we have only dabbled with what would be possible if "tech" was applied to the estate agency business.

That'll be because....young people can't/wolnt buy a house at the moment.

It's not as if they're not trying. Opening a door and climbing a flight of stairs is harder than it looks. ^_^

I wouldn't base hpc predictions on their share price.

Remember when a hpc occurs, these guys will still make money as more properties that will come up for sale as the BTL frogs react to the boiling tax changes around them, will help fuel rightmove and zoopla.

Their business model seems tight; prices drop, transactions increase they still win.

Heard a nice sounding ad for HTB on Heart radio the other day. I felt so warm and fuzzy. Then I realised I'd spilt some gravy :lol:

All you need to know about HTB

It's just plain wrong.

Not quite.They charge per agency.

So a fall in revenues via lower transaction levels/prices would likely lead to less agents.
