Doesnt mention bevvy though which is strange.

Is alcohol a stroke risk factor beyond the BP and cholesterol measurements?

Only if you're a very heavy drinker in which case I suspect the odds are it won't be a HA that gets you.

http://www.drinkaware.co.uk/check-the-facts/health-effects-of-alcohol/effects-on-the-body/heart-disease

Long-term, heavy drinking can lead to heart diseaseDrinking more than the lower risk guidelines regularly and over a long period of time can increase your risk of developing heart disease. This is because, drinking at this level can:

Increase the risk of high blood pressure. Drinking excessive amounts of alcohol causes raised blood pressure which is one of the most important risk factors for having a heart attack or a stroke. Increases in your blood pressure can also be caused by weight gain from excessive drinking (3).

Heavy drinking weakens the heart muscle, which means the heart can’t pump blood as efficiently. It’s known as cardiomyopathy and can cause premature death, usually through heart failure (4). The heart may be enlarged (5)

I got 1.7. I think I'm a bit older than you, and technically I might be "overweight" - 6ft and around 14 stone, although nobody ever believes that when I tell them, I'm actually quite skinny. It's always been a bit of a mystery which bit of me is hiding all the weight.

You are taller, thinner and younger than me, yo B*rstad! Joe.

I'm 1'm about 1.82 tall and is 68 kg.

Still when I have been to some of these gas platforms, I see fat blokes who fill their boiler suits immensley. I had to have a medical certificate for that journey. These blokes can't see their shoelaces, so think yourslef lucky.

Aye but I'm ridiculously thin, your stats still put you in 'skinny b*stard' territory, congrats!

Are these the ones too big to get out of the helicopter escape window?

I think the OAG rules are going to stipulated a maximum body size/girth. That'll do in my useless, fat, lazy BIL - although I think the current cuts have done him in already but I dont think he's told my sister.

That doesn't sound overweight for the height (unlike my 6'3" and probably about 17 stone).

Ah but being single probably lowers your chances of a heart attack even further so it's win win ;)

Wouldn't worry about being a "bit slim". Some people would pay for that. Make sure you look a little bit fit though (not over worked out BTW!), as the "Belsen" look does not sell well! ;)

Not to us.

It's the big lump of lead in your head where your brain should be.
