Well you did buy a car called a "Zoe". I think Mustang, or Type-R, sounds much more male.

Are you in the habit of putting the wrong fuel in your cars? My car has some gizmo that prevents this. Or is it Renault saving money by not fitting such gizmo, then preying on your fear that you'll misfuel??

Ffs. I've just looked and a Zoe is all electric. How stupid would you be to put petrol or diesel in an ELECTRIC car? Of course it's a comment on what they think of their customers. ?

Actually I came to entirely the wrong conclusion! I just thought Renault thought you might be a woman, having bought a car with a girly name. Obviously women cannot be trusted to fill cars up.

I put a couple of quids worth of petrol into a diesel van. It ran a little better.

Diesel into a petrol tank wont go...

Usually the opposite these days. Diesel(like any other oil) is a lubricant and the fuel pumps and injectors are designed to be lubricated by the diesel they are also pumping. Very clever. However petrol is much thinner and not appropriate to lubricate stuff requiring diesel so putting petrol in a DERV means shredded fuel pumps/injectors sending shards of metal into your engine.

I believe the other way it probably just wont start so you'll be ok.
