Property Mags

Recommended Posts

Only a few weeks ago my local property mag was as big and bold as a BTLetter's pub talk, but now it's as thin as an estate agent's wallet.

Is it:

A - Properties being pulled before Christmas

B - EA's selling all their stock and waiting for new from the undersupply of housing in the UK ;)

C - EA's having such a bumper year, they've taken December off

D - EA's running out of cash and can't afford the advertising any more.

or maybe a bit of all above? Dunno, seems to still be a lot of for sale boards up tho.

Virtually no-one goes house hunting just before Xmas (apart from TTRTR & myself perhaps :)) - so the agents scale back their advertising.

Simple really.

Also known as a 'Christmas Cold Turkey'?

Ea's break into sweats for a week anticipating the announcement of the "New Year" bounce!

This is the case in Cambridge too. The two biggest contributors (usually 4-6 pages each week) have a single page showing off how many properties they sold in November!
