Contrasting Prices

Recommended Posts

Good tactic. When people phone up they can ask, "Was it the £300k one you wanted to see?" If they say yes you know you've got a numpty.

I've seen plenty like this before. Both are guide prices, so the owner's real asking price is probably closer to £400k!

Is this why the Rightmove search defaults to searching by the highest price?

What's the point of that option if not to deceive?

Probably, the people asking for more probably have a better idea of what they want for their house!

Whenever I have asked a guide price seller what they actually want (i.e. what the asking price is), I have always gotten the same response, 'as much as I can get'! Errr.. What's that number with 100 zeros, ah yes, I'll be using that to look for somewhere where the seller has a brain. Good day :P
