Quick House Buyers ( Northampton )

Recommended Posts

Was driving down the wellingborough road in Northampton yesterday only to be confronted by what must be the biggest advert on the side of a house I have ever seen.

It was for these people:

http://www.quickhousebuyersnorthampton.co.uk/

It was ( IMHO ) quite embarrassing for the town and I think we have reached the bottom of the barrel, for me it's worse than this abomination

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-northamptonshire-17201671.

Ill try and get a photo of it at some point, unless someone else gets there first.

At least I think I might have found who has been buying houses locally !!!

I just want to know where the money is coming from !!!!

I'd say that's gone through the bottom of the barrel and a couple of feet into the ground below it.

I'm interested to see if it takes off - only on the basis that for a vendor to think this looks like a good option, they must have already sold their grannies, put the kids down the mines and nicked the lead off the local church roof.

I know it says 'copyright 2012' on the web pages, but that smells seriously like a company set up for the sole purpose of whipping property out from under people's feet when prices go south. Perhaps the banner is part of their well-timed sales drive.

Can anyone find out who owns the company?

I find this quite reassuring. It is a sign that things are sliding in some parts of the country. I look forward to them setting up shop closer to London.

Can't find any company called "Northampton Quick House Buyers", "Northampton House Buyers" or "Quick House Buyers" on Companies House's Webcheck.

Also, there's none of the legally required information on the company on its website - its company name, place of registration, registered number, registered office address and VAT number. Only a phone number and email address and contact forms.

The above info is if it's a company or other incorporated body. Mind you, even sole traders are legally obliged to display an address on their websites.

Not too sure whether there's anyone you could complain to - the Information Commissioner's Office, maybe.

QA sign of the times maybe.....

similar ad in Metro newspaper (Bristol edition) one day last week for "Move Any House"

same idea "We'll buy your house today!". "Call us free now and get your same day cash offer".

Apparently they've been in business over 77 years!

Ironically whilst reading this post the bar advert at the bottom of my screen is for www...quickmovenow.com who guarantee a cash offer within seven days.
