I blame Johnny Foreigner...as someone posted on another thread, the Japanese seem to be ok with families sharing bedrooms. If you're from the eastern bloc and used to sharing toilets and kitchens between families, that drags perceptions down.

That's a blast from the past, ES

The Sainsbury's store they built about 30 years ago came with a load of housing development that covered a huge block of land. Except the cobblers who refused to sell his shop. It became one of those quirky landmarks that always brought a smile. I was reading in Private Eye about a similar story in London recently and thought of this place.

The building seems OK to me. I would hate to live on that particular bend though. All you need is some idiot motorist to come round that bend too quickly on that main road and hit the side of the house.

It looks a bit tin pot to me, seems to be made up of badly joined pre-fabricated concrete panels.
