Morph returns to TV after 15 years with new CBBC show

The New Adventures of Morph - which first appeared alongside late artist Tony Hart - to be broadcast on children's channel after 15-year screen break

Producers say the series will stay true to the original format and use clay and traditional stop-frame animation at Morph's original home at Aardman studios in Bristol.

I'm just thankful that Tony Hart's name didn't crop up in all the celeb abuse scandals, as he seemed like such a lovely man (and probably was).

I remember reading an article about him just before he died, and he talked about how upset he was at losing the ability to draw after having a stroke. In the photo he looked very frail; I found it quite moving.

I hope you contributed to the Kickstarter funding for a new Morph animation - Oscar winning Aardman Animations needs all the help it can get.

Aardman films have made $919 million world wide and average $153 million per film.

Who in their right mind donates money to a profit making company? I despair sometimes.

It's almost as bad as those people who get donations from people who watch them play computer games all day. I remember seeing one kid who'd had $70,000 donated... the world's gone mad.

That kickstarter thing seems to have lots of well to do people raising money via it - which I didn't think was the point.

Morph screwed by the RENTIERS!

:):)

That actually made me laugh out loud.

With "In the Night Garden" and soon, "Morph", CBBC is in danger of becoming a "destination" for TV viewing.

Like wise I'm gobsmacked people give money.

Mind you, we've been here before. There was a lot of trouble during the Industrial Revolution with funding opportunities for innovation being over-run by chancers.

One of the worst crowd-funding things seems to be people pledging big money just to have an out of print book reprinted. Well how about the publishers (and usually that's the industry the person behind it works in - though they don't say this) printing some copies and then trying to sell them - that's what publishers used to do.

Really? Something about that morphopus thing scared the crap out of me.

I did remind me though of my mate who said that a trip through the Tyne Tunnel was "rubbish" for £1.60.

The "Night Garden" is very disturbing. Sometimes children's TV is more compelling than the adult stuff!
