Executive Sadman
Am I missing something.... https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/39457/Local_authority_housing_statistics_2011_12_v4.pdf (chart 1) LA housing stock went from nearly 3.5 million in 1997 to about 1.75 million in 2010, ie a 50% decrease Im sure there are other things that reduce the council housing stock, but I cant think of them right now, why is it being 're' introduced. From where im sitting it never went away. Are they going to transfer them back to LAs from social landlords?!
council dweller
Transfers to housing associations? About 7 0r 8 years ago it was quite popular....up grades to your house but with HB you`d pay no extra rent! We voted against.
