Will The Tory Party Crash The Market

Recommended Posts

Quite clearly the Tory party believe that a housing boom prior to the election is the best way to win an election.

And they know that housing is the most unaffordable it has ever been (esp in the South) thus could they let some air out of this bubble for the next few years with the intention of blowing it back up again sometime around 2018.

Maybe i'm clutching at straws but they are sneeky rats governing wholly for power and self interest.

12 billion in Help To Buy costs + loans VS 12 billion in welfare cuts.

That to me says the Tories value property above people.

Personally I think they'll keep blowing the bubble and hard. .

This is related to the time honoured Tory election strategy from Thatcher onwards.

They'd do the hard work on the economy for 3 years or so, entailing economic pain, and plan a medium term bounce for the election run in, so yes I hope what you are saying is true.

Roger Bootle is predicting another 20% off house prices over the coming 5 years+ and he a Tory advisor.

They may try and devalue the pound over the next few years. That would have deep implications.
