This Is Not The Answer To Homelessness

Recommended Posts

The guy has done a good thing within his means.

Perhaps you should load up with debt and send money to every other individuals' needs.

There's a credit thread about individuals who choose to take on massive debts to enjoy and live the high life I deny myself - how they're all victims too.

Get busy with the donations; yourselves.

It's the thought that counts but it's not a "house" it's a kit shed and it's on the road. There's obvious risks from traffic although the adjacent parked cars help. If it was on the grass would that be against the law, street laws, planning laws etc - so many laws.

It's better than nothing but it's hardly a solution.

Agree, he may as well as pitched a tent in his front garden! It probably would infringe on less laws and laster longer before the local authorities came along and told him to get rid of it! Still if the US thinks that shanty towns are a solution to homelessness then maybe it will become the solution over here too! I have some breeze blocks and corrugated iron all ready for the building of my shack! At least I will have a cheaper rent alternative! :P

Did she want help?

A lot of people just want to be left alone.

http://www.cambridge-news.co.uk/Shock-pictures-woman-sleeping-rough-snow-outside/story-25966474-detail/story.html

But the woman, who did not wish to be named, told the News: "I don't want any help."

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/howaboutthat/11271210/Woman-dubbed-the-lonely-old-lady-of-her-village-hits-back.html

A woman dubbed the "lonely old lady" of her village in a local newsletter has complained, and announced she just likes going out without her husband.

The Stapleford Messenger carried an appeal for people to befriend the pensioner who had been seen making "rather a lot" of trips by herself to a shop.

But the unnamed woman wrote back to deny she was alone and said she just liked to get out by herself at times.

We have an army of totalitarian do-gooders!

Everyone wants to feel that they are doing good things. Just as long as it is not letting anyone build houses near them or 'god forbid' letting houses fall in price. No, no, you be happy with your shed!
