Cpi/rpi Inflation Prediction

Ok, inflation figures are released on Tuesday 13th Dec (also my birthday :D ). What do you think they will be?

I must say my understanding of economics is pretty low down the scale.

But if this is the case, I would have thought the numbers will be pretty

much static, if there's a biggish drop in the inflation numbers it may be a

green light for rate cuts which in turn could cause sterling to fall quite

rapidly. Only guessing of course.

I voted for CPI to hold, because that figure is more heavily biased by fuel costs, and although they fell back from the peak of $70 pb, they are starting to creap back up again, at least around here they are.

RPI I figured a small drop, because house costs (mortgage repays, rents) play a bigger role here, and these have been falling as the house market has slowed down.

Guest Time 2 raise Interest Rates

UK manufacturers.

The office for National Statistics said output prices dropped 0.2% in November

with input prices rising 1.4% driven by a 19.8% RISE IN FUEL CHARGES. :o
