Turned Out Nice Again

Spin-off from the "Records That Sold By The Shed Load" thread.

"The Marriage" was a 6-part reality series aired in 1986 for which the Sue Pollard number was the theme tune, centring on preparations for the union of a young couple from Wales: Marc and Karen Adams-Jones.

25 years down the road, they are still married, now with 4 kids and planning a anniversary celebration.

Notice the proportion of those involved with the original wedding horribly aged (is this a Welsh thing?) or dead, or (apart from them) divorced.

"Of the 120 people who came to the wedding, around 25 people have passed away, 50 children have been born to the various couples and there

have been at least 20 divorces,"

25 years isn't that long, surely?

What does it say about marriage (and life) in modern Britain?

25 years is not a long time, I still have a motorcycle I bought in 1988 :)

That's what I call a real marriage!

25 years is a long time not being married....the longer together not being married means the shorter the time being married if at all......if it works why fix it?
