Australia - F**k Off We're Full

Recommended Posts

I enjoyed this video. Strange to think that proposing such a system would get you vilified and probably wreck your career in Europe, and yet it's official policy in another first world country.

This policy came about because of huge numbers of illegal migrants drowning off shore, having come in makeshift or overcrowded boats from Indonesia. There were recurrent disasters where several hundred people would drown when a boat capsized.

This humanitarian disaster has all but been stopped dead, by the new Australian government policy.

There are regular patrols of Aus costal waters by navy gunboats. Any illegal craft is forced to turn around. In the event that an illegal craft runs into trouble, the people are rescued, and taken to the remote island of Nauru. They are then given two options:

1. Immediate deportation to their country of origin.

or

2. Apply for political asylum in the nearest safe country to their point of origin (typically Cambodia for Vietnamese and Indonesian migrants). If successful, they are taken to their country of choice, if unsuccessful, they are deported to their country of origin.

Now that the message has got out, there are very, very few attempts made to enter Australia in this way - and those which remain, are often small groups or lone migrants, rather than the huge numbers packed onto overcrowded and unsuitable boats.

There's no point having the distinction between legal and illegal if you just let illegal migrants in with complete impunity.

And of course when people realise it's pointless to try they won't try. These people traffickers in Libya are raking in megabucks from illegal migrants, it's not like the migrants are so dirt poor as all that, they are paying several thousand minimum for the trip. And as economic migrants in the main it's purely a matter of cash and return.

would probably be even more successful if the craft in question were given 5 minutes to reverse course...then if warning was not followed the gunboat opens fire and blows them out of the water.

THAT is a no nonsense approach.

The left absolutely hate anyone suggesting the EU should adopt the Australian solution, because it's the only one actually proven to work. Which would put thousands of lefties out of work in the asylum industry.

THIS. If people that supported mass immigration had to specifically pay extra income tax for it - say 15% - I would be my pension support would disappear.

Just think, if the original inhabitants had killed any migrants pitching up on their shores they might not be a small drunken rump living in a few parched desert enclosures. Ditto for the North and South American Indians. If ever there was an advert for not letting boat loads of migrants onto your shores these three continents are it.

A very fair point. Normally however it's the more advanced civilisation that wipes out the lesser... eventually. Thank God!

Would you enjoy doing that?

If we weren't bound by the EU rules, then we could enforce immigration rules to our island as any other like Australia.

I suspect that the rules basically remove the physical land borders and mean that the success of the enforcement of immigration policy is bound by the lowest common denominator, e.g. the easiest first country to get into in Europe.

Which is one very good reason for ditching the EU, although we're quite capable of screwing up the UK entirely by ourselves due to moronic ideas about what "improving" things means.

The left won't change their views on immigration until their own status is threatened. Personally I think the tipping point could be if radical Islam starts influencing public policy on things like gay rights.

Already happening with the Christians. Religion to trump law. Not that UKIP will get anywhere anyway, thankfully.

Britain should have exactly the same policy.

UKIP are the only party to even begin having a sensible discussion about the problem of immigration.
