'what Young Man Would Not Jump On That Candy?':

Recommended Posts

A judge has sparked outrage after referring to a teacher's sex affair with a 17-year-old pupil as 'candy'.

Judge Garrett D. Page was sentencing teacher Erica Ginnetti, 35, for the sexual assault of the 17-year-old boy when he came out with the remark.

Referring to their illicit relationship he told his court: "That's like candy to a young man".

Ginnetti was sentenced to 30 days behind bars after she admitted institutional sexual assault and disseminating sexually explicit materials to a minor.

The affair was said to have left the teenager 'withdrawn' and suffering with his school work.

I'm guessing all the stress of dealing with the police in all this hasn't helped.

I'm with the MIrror on this...what's a member of the British Judiciary doing using an Americanism like "Candy"?

Where's it all going to end?

It was Montgomery County Court in Philadelphia. And for the record he is absolutely correct, she would "be candy" to any normal 17 year old boy.
