House Closing Offers 48Hrs After Going On Market

Recommended Posts

I just went to see a property at the weekend which was fresh on the market that Friday. Offers were made immediately and the EA emailed today to say closing was this evening...

Call me paranoid, but it seems suspicious that a seller would sell so quickly without waiting even a week to get as many bidders in as possible.

Property based in SE London; freehold first-floor flat, nice location, nice flat, desirable, owner occupied for >20yrs.

Any thoughts?

Sometimes things sell quick. It happens - if a buyer and a seller can agree on a price, why hang around? - a better price? Maybe, but you may also get messed around more.
