Fewer credit worthy individuals left chasing the same fixed number of houses. The problem for the VI's is that there is only a finite number of people who can borrow such large amounts.

Yeah, I agree.

I've been having a look round that way.

There is no end of fabulous £900K + preiced houses.

Then in the range of £700K to £900K you get some mediocre s**t.

Then in the range of £500K to £700K you just get over prced s**t.

The trouble is, it's a poor area of the country.

The real problem with that house is the lack of doors on the ensuite bathrooms. See picture 17.

I can just imagine Mrs EC's reaction to having to watch yours truly deal with the impact of a night on the beers followed by a curry from the sanctity of our bed.

:lol: These 'boudoir WCs' must have an unofficial 'urine only' rule amongst couples.

FFS, on a house that big you wouldn't think it be too much of a palava to build 1 or two walls and a door to segregate the porcelain from the bedroom.

My very first holiday with the yet to be Mrs Hairy was to India and Sri Lanka. We soon were very, very used to, if not entirely comfortable with, seeing each other on the loo, mainly whilst the other was lurched over the sink throwing up then swapping positions frequently. Now nothing is sacred.

Insane. I was thinking everything in the picture was included for the best part of a million just outside brum.

Nope, its just a regular 5bed estate 'exec' home...the type that would struggle to fetch 200k before 2003 that happens to be really really close to the identical house next door.

Insane.

Last paid £295,000 in 2004:

The Land Registry HPI for Northamptonshire implies that a property worth £295,000 in July 2004 would be worth approximately £325,470 in January 2015.

This is equivalent to a change of £30,470 or 10%. A change of 10% spread over 10.5 years is equivalent to a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 0.9 per cent.

Last paid £295,000 in 2004:

Before Osborne's ( **** ) FLS sub prime give away and Help To Bank schemes to prop up the pyramid, the land registry was firmly at 2004 levels and looking like it would eventually drop off a cliff.

Now the starting point for the cliff dive is so much higher,,,,
