Amateur Developer Run Out Of Money?

Recommended Posts

A case of barely started and now they want to sell.

Run out of money? or do they see storm clouds coming and realise they'll never recoup the expense outlay in any meaningful time?

Interestingly, last sold in 2001 (price was £98K). So they've been sitting in it since then and only now, right at the very top of the market, decide to play amateur property developers and get all ambitious in trying to increase its value?

I just love how the average sized dining room is described as a "Stunning Open Plan Dining Hall"

Lol

It is a shell of a house in the middle of nowhere, nearest stn 11.1 mile (I've been to Norfolk and there isn't even a motorway so you can get somewhere else fast)! 260k seems a tat overpriced!

And in addition it is a "stunning plot", for a "stunning 3 bedroom home".

So "stunning" all round then?

I lived in North Norfolk too (not far from this house) and it's full of old people, so not getting anywhere fast is an attraction. In the village I lived in 80% of the population were retirees.

My guess is they started and realised the renovation is more complex than first thought and will cost too much.

From a look at the pictures a demolish and rebuild is likely the best solution, but they may not have the planning permission for that.

The asking price is ludicrous, you could buy a finished house for that.

And that station is Sheringham, home to some of North Norfolk's best beaches and a mere hour by train from cosmopolitan Norwich.
