Housing Market Outlook Darkens

Recommended Posts

The nation's housing market is in a
"perilous position"
that could slow the broader economy, but it is unlikely that a drop in home prices will prompt a recession, according to the latest assessment of the economy from the UCLA Anderson Forecast.
In their quarterly economic forecast to be released today, the UCLA economists said that a slowdown in home sales and single-family home construction is a sign that the housing market may be on a decline.

The clouds of financial doom thicken!

When you are "here" according to this website's home page the view down the other side of the HPI peak is terrifying. Its a long way to the bottom and to the bottom we shall go.

There has never ever been a plateau after a peak. Never not no-how never. Soft landings for high flying speculative bubbles exist only in the minds of the vested interests and delusional speculators.

This is a very serious situation in the US. I've written about this before because I have many friends over there. People I know in US have never been so negative about the economy.

I also have a suspicion that a lot of holiday homes in places like Florida are owned by BRITS, so we're not immune to this. Roll on HPC.
