Two-thirds Of Houses Mis-described!

Recommended Posts

The six estate agents were picked as trading standards officers had received more inquiries about their services than any others.

The results, published today, reveal that of 32 properties looked at in Notts, officers had concerns about estate agents' descriptions of 21 of them.

"Three different builders told her the whole room needed to be ripped out and redone - at a price of more than £30,000"

Notts County Council Trading Standards officers are now investigating the estate agent on suspicion of contravening the Property Misdescriptions Act 1991 - potentially punishable by a fine of £5,000 in the magistrates' court or an unlimited fine from a Crown Court judge.
