Outbreak Of Dogging In Swanage?

Recommended Posts

It's down in the South West. Weird stuff goes on there.

Not long before it will be grant-funded ...

"POLICE say people meeting at a Mid Devon beauty spot for casual sex are not breaking the law and any complaints will be dealt with by their diversity team.

Earlier this week the Gazette revealed that an area off the A396 near Bolham has been advertised on several websites as one of the best places in the South West to engage in dogging - the practice of watching strangers have sex in public places. Because it is close to the M5 motorway and the A361 North Devon Link Road, and has space for car parking, the site has been “over-run” in recent weeks, said one woman who exercised her dogs there.

A Devon & Cornwall Police spokesman said that it was satisfied no laws were being broken at the site.

"Having sex in a public place is not actually an offence – the offence is one of public indecency, or public nuisance – so it's difficult to enforce any law," a spokesman said. We cannot arrest anyone simply for having sex in a public place. We are aware of the issue and we will deal with reports as and when we receive them by working with our diversity team to ensure the problem is approached in a sensitive and proportionate manner."

Yes, rapists, fraudsters, and armed robbers do not approve of cow-pat fetishes!
