Bbc News This Morning

Recommended Posts

Turned the TV on this morning and they have someone on trying to convince people they should get microchipped for employers and the government. The parting shot was the presenters agreeing that they would have no problem doing it.

Looks like Orwell wrote a toned down version of where we are going.

Sounds more like the Apocalypse to me. 8-(

This may or may not be in bad taste and if it offends anyone I apologise and will remove it but I think it makes my point well:

They can stick their micro-chips where the sun dont shine.

I've got mine - it's really useful. It's lets the government know where I am and what I'm thinking, and who I'm with that are also chipped!

All the celebs have them too! I'm so in with the crowd!

Cool. Where do i get one ?

I hear you cant get a mortgage unless you have one.

It was just a particular company in Sweden. I didn't get the impression that anyone was suggesting we should all do it.

thats how it starts.

First you have an idea...then you add applications...If there is an overall evil intent, then they will plan to start with useful things, like, you house/car greets you automatically by opening up for you...then your telly remembers to play your favourite relaxing soap you missed while at work, then you dont need library cards, cash, and so on.

Then they arrest you for being at a meeting.

If it got rid of the need to carry money and keys I would go for it. The only thing I would scared of is armed robbery.

I always thought those muppets on BBC morning TV were fckn robots anyway, now they've confirmed it.

What surprised me in the press is that i must prove that i got a yes from any women i have a bit of "hows your father" with in the future to avoid going to jail on a rape charge.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/law-and-order/11375667/Men-must-prove-a-woman-said-Yes-under-tough-new-rape-rules.html

If you'd seen some of the things i've gone through in my time. id be too ashamed to ask.

Surely this is the opposite of equal rights.

I saw that report by the BBC’s Non-technical technology correspondent Rory Cellan-Jones on last night’s News At Ten and thought the same as most people on this thread.
Why is this a news item? Dogs and cats have been regularly chipped for over a decade, just because some attention hungry individuals want to chip themselves does not mean one of the rare technology slots on the news has to be taken up with it.
Realistically I can’t see forced chipping any time soon, they will entice people in with features such as health monitoring etc… but there is going to be a substantial minority who’d never agree to it and I can’t see the government pinning people down while they insert a chip into them.
The biggest threat to our privacy is the smart phone and Internet, where those with access can build a very accurate picture of someone…

like an ID card is a superfluous waste of plastic, a chip is already obsolete as we could have a biometric database.

If a computer can recognise the person, then there is nothing else required.

The representative from that company was suggesting that the technology would be useful to tax authorities and other areas of government.

They don't have to pin you down. When a substancial minority do it they just make it almost impossible for everyone else to say no.

That is why you have a bank account and are paid monthly instead of weekly.

Revelations 13: 16 - 17

16 Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead,

17 so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name.

Just saying

Good grief,

I used to see threads now and then that reaffirmed why I would, under no circumstances, visit the UK again.

Then they began appearing monthly, weekly. It seems to be every day now. Yesterday's was the all sexually active men are rapists until they can prove otherwise nonsense.

What is going on?

The very idea that useful idiots on the TV are spouting the 'you've got nothing to hide' mantra over microchipping the body is enough for me to sense that we are somewhere near the endgame, whatever dreadful endgame that is.

I am just glad and relieved to be in a remote part of the world, unaffected by this madness, am getting to old to care about the future and have enough money to stay away from this evil.

Did the chip have 666 written anywhere on it! :P (and to think, I thought the bible was a load of made up nonsense!)

The chip allows employees to open doors and use the photocopier without a traditional pass card

People so desperate to want to use the photocopier.

It seems the perfect excuse to avoid that tedious chore and to give the job to a chippie.
