Clegg's Last Leg

Recommended Posts

I doubt it will be anything other than fluff TV.

It may well be nothing more than the hosts throwing space hoppers at Nick. However, the opportunity cost of trying to influence the 'debate' is pretty low. What's to be lost?

That programme doesn't often do fluff. I think it may be live too?? Although with pre-records included.

It is live with a few pre-recorded sketches. I liked it during the Paralympics but didn't realise it was still going until I saw a bit of the EOY special.

Presumably it's to try to persuade young people to vote thinking they'll tend to be more likely to vote Libdem.

Apart from the obvious tuition fees question why did they support Help to Buy (Sell) and all the other stuff when it generally pumps up house prices and disadvantages young house buyers.

He might even have an answer - in the light of the Greek vote and some of the (apparently) straightforward policies emerging there one would hope the answer would be better than the usual self serving flannel UK voters have had to get used to over the years.

Appearing on populist programmes is no substitute for good policies.

I watched it and couldn't tell if it was harming Clegg or helping.
There was a moment when they asked if he lost his seat ... and he said he wouldn't..
Now that might be a clip that gets used a lot... :)

I think he handled it quite well. First question was funny

"Boris Johnson, statesman or tw@?"

Clegg: "err, more towards the latter"
