Sancho Panza
First Bingo I can remember in a while up here. 13/13 from one agent-Connells LE2 4/4 Connells LE5 2/2-Connells LE7 4/4-Connells LE8 13/16-All reductions Connells LE9 12/12-Connells Wolverhampton 3/3-Connells WV1 9/9-Connells WV3 8/8-Connells WV10 Odd work to be doing over Christmas.Psychologically can't have been pleasant for some of the ones that have been on for two years. Billy Ray Valentine
Because of your post thought I'd check in Northampton, and can confirm there is a Rightmove bingo for Connells here as well (7/7). Sancho Panza
6/6 NN2 3/3 NN3 4/4 NN4 They have been busy on the phone. I presume it's driven by the recent reductions in volume. Edited December 27, 2014 by Sancho Panza
jammin35
Astonishing. 62 property changes (3 bed + up to 300k - my normal search) within 40 miles of Dorchester, Dorset. 50 of them are Connells - half a dozen branches, all reductions. The remaining twelve include 8 new adds and 4 reductions from other agents. So, sudden change in sentiment, or is Connells in trouble? Fully Detached
Certainly not a full house in my search area, but definitely a few Connell's reductions in my emails today.
Eddie_George
They've changed the style on Rightmove. Propertybee doesn't seem to be working either (on the list view anyway). Edited December 27, 2014 by Eddie_George
Sancho Panza
So, sudden change in sentiment, or is Connells in trouble? I'd imagine cash flow is an issue in a low volume environment for the big boys.Connells have head office salaries to pay and run on much higher per capita overheads than a small local EA run from one or two shops. Connells are clearly in search of the bid. What surprised me was the range of the reductions, some were small, others chunky.I'd imagine a diktat has come from a large salary at head office to get the vendors shfiting their expectations south and any small amount is gratefully received. homerenter
Apparently they have some sort of acceptance procedure to allow vendors to take part in the sale... "If you are selling your home and would like to be considered for Connells' 'January Sale' event, contact the local branch..." http://www.courier.co.uk/Home-hunters-urged-ready-sales/story-25755892-detail/story.html --
Killer Bunny
Wasn't there a January sale this year too?

Killer Bunny
Isn't it in the Countrywide stable?
LiveinHope
Isn't it in the Countrywide stable? I thought it was part of Skipton's diversified portfolio
