Nutter Buys House At Auction

Recommended Posts

No, actually, his name is Nutter.

The tale was told in a Homes Under The Hammer program on 6/12/05, probably a repeat as the events were in 2004.

Mr C. Nutter bought a house in Burnley, at

50 Piccadilly Road, Burnley BB11 4PU

for £17,000 on 16/6/2004. It was a chip-shop, and had been broken into and had the floor tiles stolen.

He spent time doing it up. New pvc doors, double-glazing etc. It was broken into 3 more times. I think the fireplace was stolen on one of those occasions.

He sold it for £30,000 on 15/10/2004. A profit of £13,000 the show's presenter beamed to camera.

Less costs and tax of course.
