I repeat,.....something interesting to listen to on the BBC.......GASP! Yeah! Amazing! Anyway, the programme is about students on an economics degree at Manchester University twigging that their economics degree is basically nonsense that doesn't equip them with the critical thinking skills to understand the 2007-2008 financial crisis. So a renegade economics professor decided to go "off syllabus" and teach them some basic economic stuff that isn't even taught in modern economic theory (well, what a surprise)..........and comes up against a lot of establishment aggro for doing so It seems, economic students are deliberately being taught a very narrow field of study. It is as if they are deliberately being kept in the dark about a lot of fundamental economic theory.
