Anyone watching this laugh a minute nonsense?

I've been tweeting it live.

The BBC has got a pet letting agent to explain how to make living in Cambridge 'affordable'

His solution. Tiny rooms and studio's for young professionals.

The letting agent is opposed to minimum sizes, and asks a Council official if they will 'go smaller'

His vision of the future was a Premier Inn 11.4 square metre hotel room allowing them to squeeze in 30% more rooms.

Hopefully on iPlayer soon. Its a classic!

Clearly an indicator that they can't push rents any higher so they need to find another way to claw back yield...

Unless we move to the living cages that they have for poor workers in Hong Kong!

Here we go

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b04nvhcr/inside-out-east-10112014

14 minutes in

He starts off by saying how he can help, but then goes on to promote his multi letting business model in what amounts to a corporate video for 'HMO daddies.'

And as for these professionals they will probably spend their lives in these tiny micro apartments. Well that has got to be something to strive for.

Or the government.royal family could allow us to build more housing, but then why would they as they don't give us toss about us serfs.

Charlie Boy doesnt like new houses though, ghastly looking things he believe.

Do you think the backroom staff were intentionally taking the piss by using a song about a descent into alcoholism as the backing track for this ars*holes plans to further degrade the living standards of the young?

The governments don't understand that they are rolling back the stability of the 'homeowning democracy'. Where the majority lack a stake in society and a minority leech off the labours of others in plain sight.

People will only stand being robbed for so long.

The problem is that the people have historically been pretty crap at resolving the true problems even when roused.

Not sure what the solution is. It'd be nice if we had something like the 19th century Liberal Party inspiring the proles, rather than the instinctively authoritarian Zanulab types we got doing that.

I dont know whats more disgusting. The complete ease with which the estate agent seems to have about simply depositing workers in the smallest cell he thinks they can 'survive' in, or the completely, disinterested, on the fence attitude of the liebour clowncillor. Its like he was either too ignorant or too scared to actually offer an alternative viewpoint/solution.

Its a shame really, as bad as the libdems are, Labours candidate (who'll win), daniel zeichner, is a first class tit who will definitely make things worse.
