Ah yes, obviously completely isolated ... I wonder how long it will be until the US targets China?

Chinese President says will align with Russia in global affairs

Chinese President Xi Jinping has vowed that Beijing will step up cooperation in global affairs with Moscow in 2015.

Xi said China will aid Russia in preparing for the BRICS Summit in the Russian city of Ufa in July where the two nations will jointly maintain emerging economies’ interests and promote global economic governance reform.

Russian farming conglomerate Rusagro Group said on Friday its fourth-quarter sales rose 25 percent to 21.55 billion roubles ($325.06 million) after a 68 percent jump in the previous quarter. I am sure that Russian consumers are thrilled:

http://www.themoscowtimes.com/business/article/russian-inflation-soars-to-staggering-15-percent/515485.html

Russia's inflation hit 15 percent in January, official data showed Thursday, underscoring the growing economic pain from sliding oil prices and Western sanctions linked to the Ukraine conflict.

Inflation has been shooting up in recent months as a result of a slide in the ruble, which has made imports dearer, as well as restrictions imposed on many food imports from the West in retaliation for the sanctions.

"We think the big jump in import prices as a result of the plunge in the ruble may now have happened," Liza Ermolenko, emerging markets economist at Capital Economics, said in a note. "But the lagged effects will continue to feed through over the coming months and could push inflation to around 17.5 percent or so in Q2."

Let's ignore for now the Putler's propaganda LaLa land:

http://uk.reuters.com/article/2015/01/29/russia-crisis-gazprom-results-idUKL6N0V814220150129

MOSCOW, Jan 29 (Reuters) - Russian state gas producer Gazprom suffered a 60 percent slump in third quarter net profit on Thursday, hurt by the weaker rouble and after exports were halted to Ukraine over a pricing dispute.

The world's biggest natural gas company's third quarter net profit fell to 105.7 billion roubles ($1.52 billion), down from 276 billion roubles in the same period a year earlier though better than analysts' predicted.

Gazprom warned lower oil prices could curtail its investment plans.

The firm stopped supplying Ukraine with gas in June in a dispute over pricing and debt, which hurt its revenues. In its nine-months report, it said it has also put aside 83.9 billion roubles to cover Ukraine's gas debt.

As ties between Moscow and the West fell to post-Cold War lows over Russia's role in the crisis in eastern Ukraine, the rouble has plunged on weaker oil prices and sanctions. Gazprom was hit with a foreign exchange loss of 320.7 billion roubles in the nine-month period versus a loss of 115.4 billion roubles a year ago.

Russia to build first oil refinery in Uganda

A Russian consortium led by Rostec subsidiary RT Global Resources together with partners Tatneft and VTB Capital have won the tender to construct a $3 billion oil refinery in Uganda with capacity for 3 million tons a year.

It will be the first oil refinery to be built in Uganda. It is strategically important for Uganda “since the country has no access to the sea and its economy is experiencing a significant dependence on external suppliers,” Rostec added.

On the radio yesterday they were reporting about Russian bombers being seen close to the UK - as if it's never happened before.

RAF jets scrambled after Russian bombers seen off Cornwall

Now sightings are being reported - just like regular sightings during the cold war days - and of course there's a general election in the offing.

EU and Moscow–led economic bloc should develop free trade – Hungarian PM

Efficient cooperation between the EU and Russia will define the future of Europe. That’s why the EU shouldn’t waste any opportunity to unite with Russia in pursuance of a “prosperous future,” said Hungarian Prime Minister Victor Orban.

Russia's Ex-Soviet Neighbors Struggle to Contain Ruble Fallout

The ruble's precipitous depreciation over the past year is forcing many of Russia's former Soviet trading partners into devaluations, while others are struggling to defend their currencies from collapse.

The ruble has fallen 8 percent this year versus the dollar after shedding 43 percent in 2014, driven down by lower oil prices, stagnating growth and Western sanctions over Moscow's role in Ukraine.

Most ex-Soviet states are heavily reliant on Russia for trade, investment and remittances.

French analyst calls for France-Germany-Russia alliance

France and Germany, following the historical tradition, should work on forming an alliance with Russia, prominent French writer and political journalist Eric Zemmour said in newspaper comments on Friday.

The analyst stressed that the tripartite bloc "will be the only chance for Europe to get rid of the United States protectorate and become, in the words of General de Gaulle, a ‘Free Europe’."

That's not what the Lords report says . . . 'sleepwalking into a crisis' it says. Link

The judgment from the Lords will fuel the impression that David Cameron, partly due to the distraction of a long election campaign and partly to his stance towards the EU, has ceded foreign policy influence to Germany and France. He has been seen as a bystander . . .

But apparently it's not all his fault. There has been a significant loss of language skills in the UK, particularly in the Foreign Office.

It's the cuts in educashun, innit.

Or perhaps normal people logically assumed that Putin the Fascist can not have any possible reason to invade Ukraine and murder there 5000+ people and counting ... ???

Why do you still keep a picture of the Soviet Fascist as your profile picture? Is there anything wrong with you ???
