Bizarre Coop Bank Ad

Recommended Posts

Just saw the coop ad

I thought it was a parody at first, but no, it's deadly serious

Have they totally lost their minds?

Also, wasn't their chief exec, Paul Flowers, on drugs and paying rent boys? Not exactly 'ethical'

Anyway, coop bank = weirdos

Yes, I saw this ad and it made me swear out loud.

The coop bank......Ethics and Values?

I'm speechless, don't know what to say!

My hope is that over time social media will show more people that the mainstream advertising is crap and lies.

In a single year (2009) when everyone else was slashing spending, they bought

and this

and this

and they sacked me :)

Nuff said.

I wished I worked at the co-op. I had a good mate who did once. He knew all the best pubs and "3 and rice for a fiver" places known to man in what is now hipsterly called the NQ.

I saw the add too. When I saw ethics and values I immediately wondered what HPC would make of it.

If they said in the advert 'our CEOs snort coke out of rent boys butt cracks' I would trust them for being honest. But what they've come up with tells me they think I'm a fecking idiot.

They have got a cheek......they are banking on people believing it.....the most guilty trying desperately to cover their tracks with tricks.

This is one of those funny core left wing arguments, that they have the monopoly on ethics

This leads to a sense of entitlement and ultimately leads to abrogation of responsibility, corporate narcissism, bankruptcy and rent boy shagging, in my view

Like why is it more ethical to not invest in energy companies? Is it unethical to provide the burgeoning population of the third world with affordable energy? Screw those fuzzy wuzzies! What do they know about socialism anyway!
