Everything Is Rigged: The Biggest Price-Fixing Scandal Ever Read More: Http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/news/everything-Is-Rigged-The-Biggest-Fin

This is from last year but I've only just seen it, thought it might interest some of you.

Conspiracy theorists of the world, believers in the hidden hands of the Rothschilds and the Masons and the Illuminati, we skeptics owe you an apology. You were right. The players may be a little different, but your basic premise is correct: The world is a rigged game. We found this out in recent months, when a series of related corruption stories spilled out of the financial sector, suggesting the world's largest banks may be fixing the prices of, well, just about everything.

You may have heard of the Libor scandal, in which at least three – and perhaps as many as 16 – of the name-brand too-big-to-fail banks have been manipulating global interest rates, in the process messing around with the prices of upward of $500 trillion (that's trillion, with a "t") worth of financial instruments. When that sprawling con burst into public view last year, it was easily the biggest financial scandal in history – MIT professor Andrew Lo even said it "dwarfs by orders of magnitude any financial scam in the history of markets." It's confirming that the banks belong to a cartel and it's a sham of self interest along with all the well known cronies.

It goes into a quite a lot of detail on the subject as well.

It's not just that most stuff is rigged it's that everything is rigged.

I have never forgotten the day I finally finished clearing out my dead parents house.

I was born into this house, a 30's extended 4 bed semi in the London Suburbs.

At the age of 45 I surveyed the main living room after the last skip was collected.

It looked very different to the place I remembered from my youth...just a box really.

I could not believe that the majority of the populace waste their lives working to repay a massive loan just to live in such a place and fill it with "stuff".

I still collected my inheritance tho...which landed in the bank shortly after.

So thanks to the new owner and the organisers of this big scam for putting me even further in the black!

I will not be participating for quite a while to come.

Cloud Atlas : Quotes
Haskell Moore: There is a natural order to this world, and those who try to upend it do not fare well. This movement will never survive; if you join them, you and your entire family will be shunned. At best, you will exist a pariah to be spat at and beaten-at worst, to be lynched or crucified. And for what? For what? No matter what you do it will never amount to anything more than a single drop in a limitless ocean.
Adam Ewing: What is an ocean but a multitude of drops?

Contains spoilers ( if you have not seen this excellent if flawed film)
