wkwindowsflash .twatty

Is wanting me to upgrade my flash player.

I'm using Chrome so don't need to as it will do that.

It's being injected via ads someone has told me.

Just me?

Ignore at your peril...it looks like Malware.

turn off your browser and scan with malwarebytes or your own trusted antimalware software.

Do it now.

PS, I havent checked the above link for legitimacy either, so get your malwarebytes from Malwarebytes.org,not any links on that website, unless you are satisfied it too is ligit.

I clicked on the link so I ignored at my peril...

It is a malware link but there is another step to install....

Ignore the further step.

If it popped up, then you are already infected, maybe not with that, but something else.

The trouble with these things, is that they snowball until nothing works.

I would scan with another scanner if you are getting the pop ups...I dont think you are, just a respondant to a poster in need.

None of the malware scanners is perfect.

I had to use three about a year ago on a ladies machine that had over 5000 traces on it...none of the scanners cleared the machine on their own..

I have found also, that if your chosen security suite has allowed the malware/virus through in the first place, then is it doubtful that it can successfully remove it.

Also consider, that malware is not necessarily a virus, and that is could consist of a "blended threat", ie, it is a combination of virus and malware behaviours, coupled with triggers on infected websites.

Nasty business for the unwary.
