Metal Song Covers.

I know nothing about Disturbed, but I'm inclined to think on this evidence that their stock in trade is 'edgyfying' 80s hits for the yoof of today. Or not- I was introduced to this cover by a fellow bus driver at my garage in 2007:

...apparently his daughter was into it- he was a bald ~50y/o Brummie (and a top guy in fairness). I torrented him the CD as a favour.

I'm 35 and I massively prefer the Genesis version, I've fallen asleep to it many times at the end of a drunken evening!

I think they've done a few covers - that's all. Down with the Sickness is very good imo.

It`s Metal does Metal, but this entertained me. The girl from Portishead hooked up with a metal band to do Black Sabbath.

GONGA - Black Sabbeth:

Sporting of Tomy Iommi to feature in their video.

I think a "good" metal song is hard to repeat! I am not a fan of metal particularly, but there have been a few classics!

I like Roberto y Gabriela. They're from Mexico City and play acoustic guitars. Their main influence is Metallica.

I quite liked that! Metal on a tinkly nylon strung guitar doesn't sound like METAL really ! I wonder if I can learn "Paranoid" on a ukulele?

Would a big one still be a ukulele or would it just be an acoustic guitar with an identity crisis?

Yes! But but with the "economical" four strings!
