Nihe Sell-Off Of 89,000 Houses: Effect On The Market?

Recommended Posts

I read recently in the Belfast Telegraph that the NIHE are at some point to sell off all housing stock. Apparently this is some 89,000 homes.

Presumably the sale of so many houses must have a massive downward pressure on NI house prices.

What are your thoughts on this?

Why would the transfer of housing from one social housing landlord/organisation to another effect prices?

If the stock is to be transferred to another social housing organisation, then most probably it won't.
