Breathable, Tech Fabric, T-Shirts

Recommended Posts

I've been a 100% cotton man since I was old enough to buy my own clothes (after being tortured by a childhood of 100% polyester in sweaty climes) but these new materials are great. Cool, comfortable, quick drying, lightweight. They really seem to work. Had a look at them with my microscope, and they do actually have tiny "pores" woven into the material.

There seem to be different types, so don't know if they're all good though. Or if they last. Wish they came in more sober colours though.

What with all the sweat just evaporating, I wonder if that means i don't have to wash them so often ?

I used to use them a lot when biking/walking. Good stuff, particularly the stuff with silver ion technology (woven silver threads whatnot) which killed off sweat stench to a large extent! I mostly bought Berghaus as they were the only onces really doing it at the time but I know quite a few other manufacturers do it now too. The added benefit is that they tend to have pretty good SPF ratings too - something I dearly need.

The same material can be found in shirts an t-shirts - I prefer shirts nowadays.
