The fact it's being discussed means it's plausible.

It's been discussed for years. With Brit "we know best about high finance" commentators in the vanguard of that discussion.

Meanwhile, Ireland and Portugal through the worst and off special measures. Others better or worse according to political will.

Could still be part of some Krugmanite grand plan? QE is utterly fungible, it can and will be used anywhere the banksters identify arbitrage opportunities regardless of the currency it's denominated in. Mighty coincidental that as Yellen the felon winds back the wick, SuperMario is preparing a flood of his own. And lets not forget Donkey Kuroda. Won't be long before Abenomics 2.0 comes rolling off the presses to give Japan its last few months of pseudo-prosperity.
