In case you haven't already heard the Guardian has published a series of articles about the release of 60 photographs of famous, and not really that famous women. The important point being that they may, or may not, have been stolen off the cloud. Note to celeb burds - don't take saucy pics of yourself and leave them

i. on your phone

ii. with your ex

iii. store them on the cloud

iv. in a laptop you leave at Starbucks after enjoying a Fappacino Latte.

unless you want them accessed.

Of course to the Guardian all the worlds ills are the fault of "white, heterosexual, middle-class men. Privacy is a privilege. It is rarely enjoyed by women or transgender men and women, queer people or people of color. A stranger reaches out and touches a pregnant woman’s belly. A man walking down the street offers an opinion on a woman’s appearance or implores her to smile. A group of teenagers driving by as a person of color walks on a sidewalk shout racial slurs."

Wow, I thought DavidG had made that quote up. No it's, real, and here's the fuller version:

Privacy is a privilege. It is rarely enjoyed by women or transgender men and women, queer people or people of color. When you are an Other, you are always in danger of having your body or some other intimate part of yourself exposed in one way or another. A stranger reaches out and touches a pregnant woman’s belly. A man walking down the street offers an opinion on a woman’s appearance or implores her to smile. A group of teenagers driving by as a person of color walks on a sidewalk shout racial slurs, interrupting their quiet.

For most people, privacy is little more than an illusion, one we create so we can feel less vulnerable as we move through the world, so we can believe some parts of ourselves are sacred and free from uninvited scrutiny. The further away you are from living as a white, heterosexual, middle-class man, the less privacy you enjoy – the more likely your illusions of privacy will be shattered when you least expect it.

Absolutely astounding. How dare they be white, heterosexual, middle-class men. Four things that the Guardian journo clearly hates.

And here is that bitter and twisted individual:

Roxane-Gay-feminist-010.jpg

Roxane Gay. Gang raped when she was twleve (tragic of course, shouldn't happen to anybody) and she holds all white, heterosexual, middle-class men to be permanently responsible and partly culpable. A great shame but she needs therapy not a platform for her bile.

White nationalist (caution: he is a white nationalist and he does swear occasionally) Ramzpaul pointing out that all this 'white privilege' poison should suit white nationalists, just fine...

You might have thought, in the immediate wake of the revelations about what's going on in Rotherham, and the PC-induced paralysis the authorities appear to be subject to, that the Guardian might have eased off on this kind of hate-mongering for a week or two.

On second thoughts, it is the Guardian, so maybe not.

Do these harridans ever look in the mirror and think, actually i am a bit of a state both physically and mentally myself maybe i should sort that out before telling everyone else what to do and think. Perhaps not and they think being 20+ stone and having more 'issues' than the next person is something we should all aspire to.

Amazing that celebs are still taking pictures of themselves naked and expect the internet to be secure.

You would have thought they would invest in encryption.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1956620/

Perhaps it can be the follow up to Sex Tape?

No different than when you go to weddings and see the disposable camera's left on the tables.

Depending on how well we know the happy couple we take them in the toilets and take 'saucy pictures'. Then later as everyone becomes the worse for wear just swop the camera's about.

So long as no one's face is the shot and it is unidentifiable I see no problem.

You can take that from a bloke whose old chap has featured on faceache alongside the question. Whose is this? Lasted a whole 3 days before faceache took it down...

thats all well and good, but why are they publishing at all?

Course, we all know the stories of Madonna and Silvester stallone starting the porn trade, but if that is their way in, they made their bed and they can now sleep in it.

So much for cloud security.

Who was the female lead in baywatch with the rock star husband?

I can recall their special video doing the rounds. Took me bloody ages emailing it to all my friends!!

Video left absolutely nothing to the imagination. Was the one where they got it together on the boat..

Just looked it up. Was Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pamela_Anderson

Sex tapes controversy[edit]

A sex tape of Anderson and Tommy Lee on their honeymoon was stolen from their home in 1995 and made a huge stir on the Internet. Anderson sued the video distribution company, Internet Entertainment Group. Ultimately, the Lees entered into a confidential settlement agreement with IEG. Thereafter, the company began making the tape available to subscribers to its web sites again, resulting in triple the normal traffic on the sites.[59]

Another tape, which was made before the Tommy Lee tape, involving Anderson and musician Bret Michaels from Poison, was later announced, and an abridged version of less than 60 seconds appeared on the internet. Frames of the video first appeared inPenthouse magazine in March 1998. The tape was successfully blocked by Michaels, but a four-minute sex tape is still available on the Internet.

Even the lefties are tired of the feminazis. The amazing atheist and thunderf00t both are rather liberal, and both document the utter absurdity of 'radical' feminists. The guardians tolerance of them seems more based on tribal politics than anything else. Most of what they say is rarely backed up by fact.

As an aside, Denninger has been warning (admittedly pushing blackberry at the same time) about the inbuilt security issues of apple and android phones for years, which seem to be a dream for hackers or govt spooks. I guess most people don't care...I was talking to a engineer mobile phones a week ago...he knew, but said he wouldn't sent anything sensitive via I phone anyway.

Obviously the great unwashed wont be quite as aware.

Its quite amusing, the guardian led hypocrisy.

Apparently we only care about child rape when its between different communities (ie muslim abusing whites)

A bit like the entire establishment left don't actually care about thousands of black men being murdered by other black men over the last decade in the US...but if one black man is killed by a white man, (ie its between two different communities) its headline news for the next 3 months and riots.

The entire establishment left and the (far) right are both as hate filled as each other...its simply one is apparently acceptable, the other not.

To people like the 'woman' in the picture, if a white guy so much as looks at them slightly **** eyed, its undeniable racism. If a man with a machete hacks off some poor sods head shouting allah akhbar...nothing to do with islam. I don't get it. Why such a low threshold for white racism, why such a high threshold (or is there even one) for Islamic extremist. Why is one ideology banned, the other above scrutiny. Theyre both often anti-Semitic, homophobic, misogynistic. Why does one having the added element of religious superstition protect it?

I'll bet if allah swept down from the clouds himself and smited a million infidels we'd have harriet Harman on the propaganda box telling is 'this is nothing to do with islam, this is not the real islam'

At the risk of helping to divert this into another one of 'those' threads.

It's a cliche but I've got a couple of close 2nd generation, devout Muslim friends. They're both good men impo. Consequently, I (whilst not being in any way misty eyed about Islam) don't share the total pessimism that some posters on this forum frequently express.

Having said that I'm still quite pessimistic though.

If our establishment insists on giving a free pass to appalling abuse that is illegal in Islamic countries such as Pakistan, let alone here, on waging war against secular regimes in the Islamic world, and turning a blind eye maybe on occasions facilitating regimes like Saudi and Qatar promoting fundamentalist terrorism then, yes, the future could very well be awful.

S**t needs to be changed and like you said on another thread, the window's probably closing.

That, or something very similar, made it into the last Iain Banks novel I read!
