War!

Forget property asking prices.

Has anyone noticed how insignificant the coverage is that NATO have pledged to go to war with Russia over something that most observers believe Russia has already done. (Ie. Sent troops into Eastern Ukraine).

Millions of houses reduced to vapour, rubble or irradiated won't do much for HPI, will it?

And the NATO Summit in Newport in a fortnight will be endorsing a plan by a General Breedlove to move NATO forces and arms up to the Russian border.

Is that Newport, Wales. Is that THE NATO. Blimey they have come down in the world. The only good thing to have come out of Newport is strippers.

NATO are the chief trouble-makers here. Very silly behaviour, really.

Except they'd all be out of work without an enemy to 'protect' us from. The sad part is that NATO wasn't disbanded right after the Warsaw Pact.

What is it good for?

Bang on cue the Ukrainian president today announced $3 billion spending on military hardware, which I assume will be provided by the West and used to kill his own people. The Ukraine is effectively bankrupt but I'm sure the loan terms will be tempting. If you can no longer lend people money to buy houses you can always provoke a civil war and then lend them money to go blow stuff up.
