Ghost Gazumping

Recommended Posts

Man alive, this must be close to the peak. People wanting 15% or 20%+ a few months after accepting an offer, and muppets inclined to give it to them if only they could get the debt.

hahaha its so funny when people blame the fact they couldn't get more debt

Look at the media of late concerning the London housing market and you`re anecdote reflects just how much influence the media has when it comes to sentiment and the housing market

this made me chuckle

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-28463521

"Mindful of what had happened last time, they bid £5,000 over the asking price of £175,000. In December 2013 their offer was accepted."

So they were ghost gazumped for a second time in March (four months ago), and the article doesn't tell us if the property sold afterwards. So why do these ancient events qualify to be published last night as a "news" story?

They have second thoughts about selling, a) because selling a property that provides a good income is like losing a lucrative job, B) they realise they can't in fact sell to buy another property (get a promotion) as they can't afford the cost of the move........got to be in it to win it.
