Paypal Loans - Working Capital Offered To Uk Biz's In Autumn

PayPal loans: Working Capital offered to UK businesses

PayPal is to enter the online loans market in the UK for the first time. It will offer working capital to existing business customers, targeting small firms from the autumn.

The payments giant said users, including eBay sellers, will have access to an interest-free merchant cash advance against their future sales.

The move, initially available to selected merchants and more widely in 2015, comes amid pressure from the Government for banks to lend more to businesses. A recent Department of Business, Innovation & Skills report found “SMEs suffer from long-standing challenges in accessing bank and equity finance.”

Why lend money to businesses?

You could lend money into the property market that has been rigged by government so you can't lose, so it seems rather silly and ricky lending to businesses.

What we need is for the government to also rig businesses so they can't fail. Help-to-sell, funding for selling, funding for manufacturing, interest free loans for wages, interest free loans for stock, tax free profits etc.

Rigging business so that they can't fail would make it far less risky to lend and the banks would be falling over themselves to lend to them.

There's already companies offering this. I just cannot understand why an ebay business would need to borrow money for any reason other than it was struggling.
